340 Year Old Imported German House Barn

Exit I-80 north on Highway 71, 25 miles north to Manning.

In 1999  the 340 year old German hausbarn (built in 1660 in Germany) was disassembled, shipped to Iowa and reassembled with a new thatched roof.

A Historic 1915 Iowa  home and farmstead are also included as part of the $7 tour fee, open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sundays 1 pm to 4 pm.

German combination of house and barn allowed heat from animals to help warm house portion.
